Tuesday and Friday Cubs are back from a very successful trip to County Meath.
We stayed in the Newgrange Lodge Hostel and were taken care of brilliantly by the staff, particularly Cody from USA.
We arrived early and set about visiting the Newgrange Monument and visitors centre. After some lunch back at the Lodge we headed off on a 8km hike along the River Boyne and back. We have lovely trek along the riverside with flurries of snow to make the scene one to remember.
Dinner in the lodge was followed by chill out time and the cubs finished off the evening watching Dispicable Me in the TV Lounge and then returned to their dorms for a nice quiet wind down and sleep.
Morning kicked off at 8 for breakfast and packup and cleanup. The morning activities included the onsite climbing wall and rope course. Great fun was had here. At 11.00, Joe arrived with the Bus and we all got ready for the journey home.
Well done to all the cubs for their great enthusiasm and behavior at our hostel in Newgrange. And a special thanks to all the leaders for making this weekend possible.
