Sandie and Kieran meeting the Chief Scout of Ireland – Michael John Shinnock.
Natasha, Patrick, Sandie, Kieran and Darren all headed to Scouting Ireland Castle Saunderson campsite, where we attended a Leaders training weekend. As you can see from our attire – it was a lot of fun. Looking forwards to sharing our new skills with our cubs.
September 2014 Start for Tuesday Cubs
Folks, the den is being renovated until 15th September so we are kicking off cubs with a hike from Crone Wood to the Dargle river on Saturday 13th at 11am. This will be with Friday cubs.
Please collect at 2pm from Crone Wood. Cubs starts again on the following Tuesday 16th September.
Will send out more details about the forthcoming year later
Visit to Arklow Sea Scout Den
We got invited to bring some of our cubs down to meet some of the Arklow Cubs who are doing their Chief Scout Award. We were given our dinner and had a presentation on Arklow, followed by a walk around the town. It was a great day out and we made great new friends. Looking forward to seeing them all sometime in Bray and we might even have a sleepover in Arklow den before the year is out.

Woggle, Badge and Cup Making and Sleepover
15 Cubs enjoyed an activity filled day on Saturday. We had different bases set up, where the cubs learned how to make a cup/bowl from coconuts, create their own woggle and personalise their own badges from wood. After a successful afternoon we went on a nice walk to McDonalds for a well earned treat. Next on the cards was a movie night and sleepover in the den. Well done to everyone for a great event.
